Kampot pepper is cultivated in the Kampot province located in the southernmost part of Southeast Asian Cambodia. This region, with its coastal climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce some of the highest quality pepper in the world. Not without reason, this pepper has received a protected geographical indication, much like French champagne. We purchase pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, ensuring a fair reward for every farmer. We strive to promote this approach among other traders as well. Kampot pepper is divided into three primary colors, differentiated by the processing of the fruit of the pepper vine. White pepper is obtained from the harvest of fully ripe red pepper berries. They are dried by direct sunlight and then soaked again in order to remove the red peel, leaving only creamy white peppercorns.. Thanks to a careful selection that meets the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, as set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the finest grains are always handpicked. These are then vacuum sealed to maintain quality and freshness during the journey to Europe, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered right to your table.

The individual types of Kampot pepper differ in taste and aroma, nuances you'd hardly find in pepper purchased from regular supermarkets.

White pepper offers a delicate yet still peppery sensation for the taste buds. Upon grinding, it unveils scents of camphor, sage, and cedarwood, complemented by the gentle aroma of mace, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in the mouth, you can detect notes of nutmeg, thyme flower, and lemon balm, underscored by the aroma of cedar and black tea.

Thanks to their varied taste, aroma, and spiciness, different types of pepper are suitable for different purposes. White pepper is ideal for light meats. It greatly enhances the flavor of seafood, pairs well with risotto and creamy soups, and its taste stands out even when combined with a good pasta. The finer you grind the Kampot pepper, the more intense its spiciness will be. On the other hand, larger fragments or whole grains will lend the dish more specific tones of pepper.
